Somehow we have already stumbled into April of 2019, Dumplings! Spring has officially started, so it’s the perfect time to get excited about the freshest, glowiest beauty looks of the Spring and Summer 2019 season (yaaasss!!). There’s a little something for everyone–both maximalist and minimalist looks are in. Plus, there are dashes of pastel, bright, deep, and metallic hues, so there’s plenty of room to experiment and tailor your lewk like the beautiful goddess you are.
Chances are, you probably have most of the tools in your makeup arsenal to try these looks for yourself, but in case you don’t, we’ve rounded up some gorgeous vegan and cruelty-free products to accompany each look. Let’s dive in!
1. Soft, Feminine Metallic Eyeshadow
Seen backstage at Tom Ford, this look is suitable for everyone. Eyeshadow with a subtle shimmer is quite forgiving and easy to work with–plus, this soft, smoky look spells sophisticated sexiness. A metallic eye is a perfect evening look, but you can tone it down when you want to add a little umph to your day look.

2. Bright, Playful Eyeshadow
Created by the makeup artists for Rodarte, this bright, bold look is nothing if not playful. Choosing a single bright color for a statement wash over your eyelids instantly adds a dose of whimsy to your look. Pair with a bold lip for a truly unforgettable look.

3. Pastel Eyeshadow
This gorgeous look by makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes exemplifies the breathtakingly pretty pastel eyeshadow trend. It seems like it’s been a while since pastels have been in, but when paired with glowing skin and a bit of shimmer, this looks feels so fresh–not dated. Enjoy when you want to channel your inner romantic. You are a flower–bloom!

4. Red Lips, Red Blush
Seen backstage at Hellessy, this sensuous dose of red looks especially gorgeous on darker skin tones–but we can all play with it! If you want to ease into the red-on-red look, experiment with sheer makeup like lip balm. You can also try applying a reddish blush under your foundation or tinted moisturizer for a lit-from-within glow.
5. Bold, Colorful Eyeliner
The past decade has illustrated that cat eyes aren’t going anywhere. Accordingly, makeup artists, like the talented Giselle Ali, have found endless ways to make it new and exciting. Enter unapologetic color.

6. Glowing “No-Makeup” Makeup
Perhaps the most wearable look of the season, this minimalist no-makeup makeup look (seen here executed by makeup artist Moani Lee) is affectionately known as “just come from my facialist skin.” And we’re so here for it. The first step in achieving this seemingly simple look is actually staying on top of your skincare regimen–exfoliating, hydrating, moisturizing, massaging, misting, etc. (The point is to let your healthy skin do the heavy lifting!) When it comes to makeup, stick to breathable products formulated with natural ingredients to give you that juicing-yogi look.

7. Nails—Embrace Your Dark Side
Finally, I am delighted to report that you don’t have to stick to neutral or pale colors on your nails this season. Dark nails–black, berry, forest green, deep plum–are (still) in. A dark mani or pedi is a wonderful way to insert some gorgeous contrast into your warm-weather look, especially if your outfit is mostly soft or neutral colors. When it comes to nail art, the sky is (still) the limit. You do you!
