Seven-time Grand Slam champion and Serbian dreamboat Novak Djokovic is the latest celebrity to credit gluten-free diet for his athletic performance, and he is writing a book about it. Serve to Win: The 14 Day plan for Physical and Mental Excellence will be published by Zinc Ink (a division of Ballantine) and will go on sale on August 20, right in time for US Open on August 26. The book will describe how he was diagnosed with gluten intolerance in 2010, and how he then went on to cut gluten, sugar, and dairy from his diet and win six Grand Slam championships.
No word on whether British belhomme Andy Murray will be serving up a book of his own–may I suggest a vegan diet book for athletes?
