I am absolutely obsessed with podcasts. It’s all I am listening to at the moment. I am improving my language skills, listening to the news, learning about history, and finding inspiration. I keep discovering new amazing podcasts, but these 5 are the ones that I listen to every week.
1. Work In Progress
I have watched One Tree Hill probably 6 or 7 times already. It’s probably my favorite show. So you can imagine how excited I was when I found out Sophia Bush, aka Brooke Davis, has a podcast. She started the podcast after coming to the realization that people can be “both a masterpiece and a work in progress, simultaneously.” Her interviews are extremely thoughtful and insightful, and have included everyone from politicians and CIA agents to activists, actors, authors and doctors.
Give it a go here and think about what is a work in progress in your life.
2. I Can Explain
This podcast is for all my LGBTQ+ friends out there. A podcast that answers the “questions you are too afraid to ask.” If you watch a lot of LGBTQ+ videos on Youtube you have probably come across Breanne Williamson at one point. She and Sean Lusk bring you weekly hilarious episodes where nothing, and I mean nothing, is off limits. Bring out the Mimosas and give this a listen.

3. I Weigh
Tahani from The Good Place has a podcast. 😉 Jameela Jamil started a social media movement called “I Weigh” to fight for body neutrality, inclusiveness and advocate for mental health. After suffering from an eating disorder in the past she was sick of seeing women being reduced to a number on a scale. In the “I Weigh” movement people define their value through so many more important things. People weigh being good friends, being smart, being a sibling, being financial independent or anything else. The movement has grown rapidly and has even changed Instagram and Facebook policies. Now you can listen to a weekly inspirational podcast about what people truly weigh. Our worth doesn’t come from a number on a scale. Our worth comes from who we are as a person.
4. Millennial Minimalists
The name sums up what this podcast is about. Kelly and Lauren, two friends from Canada talk about everything related to minimalism, often interviewing other well-known people following this lifestyle. If you are a Minimalist already or if you are thinking about it definitely give this one a listen. It inspired me to to start decluttering right away and move towards a Minimalist lifestyle.

5. Pretty Big Deal
This podcast is an absolute confidence booster. Ashley Graham is a model and fierce advocate for body positivity and empowerment of women of all shapes and sizes. In each episode she interviews amazing and brilliant people who are all pretty big deals, including activists, musicians, athletes, actors, and business owners. She ends the interview with asking her guests what a pretty big deal in their life is which is a very interesting and inspirational segment.
You can listen or watch all episodes here.
I hope you will enjoy these podcasts as much as I do! Let me know which one is your favorite!
