As the weather cools, my urge for warm, spicy beverages increases. Few things beat the comfort of a steaming hot mug gripped between icy fingers on a crisp, autumn day.
Of course there's all your standard spicy fall drinks- chai lattes, ginger tea, pumpkin spice everything. But isn't it time for something new in your life? Add some excitement with an updated version of an old colonial classic- buttered rum.
It's sweet, creamy and will warm you from the inside out. This drink is calming, good for digestion and may bolster up your immune system as well. It's the perfect way to unwind after a long day. The recipe can easily be doubled or tripled to suit a larger crowd as well. Serve with some soup and crusty bread and you'll have yourself a party!
