While searching online for ways use up an excess of homemade apple butter, I came across a recipe for apple butter pork chops. Obviously, I wasn't interested in cooking with meat, but I liked the idea of using my apple butter in a savory application. The sweet and savory combination so, so good, I promise.
The nice thing about this recipe, besides the short ingredient list, is that you can use this marinade with any protein or vegetable. I'm excited to try apple butter tofu, seitan, or even portobello mushrooms!
This hearty and protein-rich dish will fill you with autumn vibes. Enjoy! :)
