Easy Vegan Bread Machine Recipe for Loaves and Pretzels!

April 10, 2015
Bread is on every bad list. Five worst foods, Atkins, South Beach, low-carb, blah, blah, blah. I don't know about you, but my soul sometimes screams, "Good God! I need BREAD!" This is why I have a bread maker. When my soul is upset for the lack of bagels and baguettes, I listen. I break bread with my soul. Bread machines are worth it; they take up a good amount of space, but no one will ever say, "Let's get rid of the bread machine," because it is a miracle maker. An easy miracle maker. This is a simple recipe I use for loaves and pretzels:

Directions

Layer the ingredients as listed above in the bread machine pan. Be sure that the mixer is attached first! When you get to the flour, make an indentation, and pour the yeast in. Follow the machine instructions to make dough.

Heat the oven to 350 degrees. grease a pan, and cover in corn meal. Once the dough is finished the final proofing, remove the dough, and form it in to a loaf on the pan. Coat in oil, and sprinkle a liberal amount of extra salt and pepper on the top. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

While still hot, slice a thick piece from the center, smother with your favorite vegan butter until it is saturated at least half way through the bread, and experience bread bliss.
