Summer is here and that means it’s time to enjoy all that this season has to offer. From beach days to bonfires, summer is the time to sit back, relax, and recharge. One of my favorite ways to take some time for myself is to give myself a good manicure and pedicure.
Here are some of my favorite vegan nail polishes that are perfect for the summertime!
Zoya Island Fun Collection Sampler ($54, available on the brand’s website.)
Why I love this this collection: These six shades scream summer! Wear them together or just one shade at a time, and you will be sure to feel as if you’ve been transported to a beach on a faraway island.
Bonus: Zoya’s polishes are Big 5-Free, meaning they do NOT contain: formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), or camphor.
Pacifica Beauty Rainbow Gloss Top Coat ($14, available on the brand’s website and select Whole Foods stores)
Why I love this shade: I have never encountered a top coat quite like this one! Why use a boring clear top coat when you could jazz up your mani or pedi with a hint of rainbow color?!
Bonus: Pacifica’s polishes are 7-Free which means they are formulated without: parabens, phthalates (dibutyl phthalate, DBP), toluene, xylene, camphor, formaldehyde, resin, and animals.
SpaRitual Nail Lacquer in Airhead ($12, available on the brand’s website)
Why I love this shade: Airhead is the perfect soft, dreamy pink shade. This polish is sure to add a delicate, girly flair to any beachy or date night outfit!
Bonus: SpaRitual polishes are free of dibutyl phthalate (DBP), toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, and formaldehyde resin.
Ella + Milla Nail Polish in Copabikini ($10.50, available on the brand’s website)
Why I love this product: Not only are their polish bottles absolutely adorable, but the vibrancy of this color is magnificent! For best results, apply a base coat (such as their shade Pure Love) before applying Copabikini. There’s no way you won’t have a good time with this polish as a part of your summer look!
Bonus: Their polishes are 5-free meaning they do not contain: formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), formaldehyde resin, or camphor. They are also PETA certified and made in the USA.
Ella + Milla Nail Polish in Tropical Jungle ($7, available on the brand’s website)
Why I love this shade: This seafoam green is sure to calm you even on your most tumultuous of days. Pair this shade with a hint of coral in your make-up or outfit, and you will be ready to enjoy any breezy summer day.
Bonus: Ella + Milla polishes are 5-free which means they are formulated without formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), formaldehyde resin, and camphor. They are also a PETA certified brand made in the USA.
Ellison’s Organics 3-Free Glitter Nail Polish in She Sells Seashells ($12, available on Etsy)
Why I love this shade: A little glitter never hurt anyone, so try out Ellison’s Organics She Sells Seashells over your favorite polish shade to liven it up for the summer. The confetti-like texture of this polish turns any blah polish into a quirky, cute one! (Note: this polish has sheer pink tint to it as well).
Bonus: Their shades are 3-Free, meaning they are made without formaldehyde, toluene, or dibutyl phthalate (DBP). They are also gluten-free, paraben free, and bpa free, as well as made entirely in the USA.
Leesha’s Lacquer Shimmer Nail Polish in Land of 10,000 ($3.50 for a mini bottle & $7 for a full size, available on Etsy)
Why I love this shade: Any shade inspired by the beauty of nature is a winner in my book. Inspired by the beautiful blue waters of Minnesota, this polish is perfect for anyone who loves to spend time by the water during the summer.
Bonus: Leesha’s Lacquers are 5-free, meaning they are free of these harsh chemicals: toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, and camphor.
